Introduction
Beats is a headphone company that was founded in 2006 by Dr. Dre and jimmy lovine.
Beats objective is to provide the best sound quality device for customers to experience the entirety of the music. They strive to become the best in sound entertainment and want to give the best listening experience to their customers. In order to do that they need to personally test out each product to make sure they are delivering the best and as the years go on the sound quality improves with new inventions. They want the fans to feel the emotion and sounds that the artist feels while making the songs as if it was just being produced in the studio.
The unique thing about Beats and their marketing strategy was it was Co-Owned by a famous music producer which was one of its main form of marketing. Another form was having the product placed in many Music Videos throughout the years. The product was featured in many music videos including Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg and etc.
Data Collection and analysis
Group 4 conducted several interviews involving current users of Beats wireless headphones. The questions that were asked were as followed:
1. What made you purchase this product?
2. What features do you like most about Beats?
3. What made you choose this product over another product?
4. Do you think it is reasonable for the price?
5. If there is anything about this product that you would change what would it be?
Interview #1:
1. The interviewee stated that they bought the beats mainly for the gym, and for its high quality bass/sound and also because they knew the charge lasts over 40 hours
2. The features they like most about this product is the way it fits and also how it has a noise cancellation sound
3. They chose the beats because of the quality and the sound
4. They think it’s reasonable for the price, they would definitely purchase it again and recommend it to others based on the quality, sound, and battery life.
