Objectives: Ensure students are on track for successful completion of the course and provide intervention if necessary; identify individual strengths and areas of improvement in this course; reflect on progress course outcomes.
Write a brief self-assessment answering the following questions:
1. View your grades and examine your score on each assignment that has been graded so far BEFORE completing the rest of this assignment.
Note: If your percentage is below 70% or if you would like to work on increasing your percentage please stop by my office hours or make an appointment with me immediately.
2. Explain what assignments you think you are doing well at (e.g. quizzes, discussion, papers, etc…). What factors have enabled you to do well on these assignments?
3. What assignments you think you could improve on so far in the course? How could you improve on these assignments?
4. Refer back to the bulleted, course specific learning outcomes on the syllabus (NOT the college-wide learning outcomes of Learn, Think, Interact and Communicate). Choose 1-2 course outcomes that you think you have met so far. How did you meet these outcomes? Choose 1-2 outcomes that you would like to continue to work on.

My current percentage: 93%.
Overall I think I am doing very well in this course. I find my strengths to be the participation in our discussion forums and my weakness to be the quizzes. Like I had mentioned in my Academic Goals Assignment, I am not very good at reading and comprehending a lot of material and then translating that information into quiz taking format. It’s not that I don’t comprehend the overall concepts or ideologies that I am being asked to study, rather it’s the broader subtopics within the texts I struggle with.
As far as the course outcomes go, I am definitely meeting the ones I aimed to meet at the beginning of the quarter (outlined in my Academic Goals Assignment). Thus far I have done well at being able to communicate with clarity more originally and also being better at thinking critically, creatively and reflectively. I have done this by translating the knowledge I have learned each week into well written responses on the forum, which I have been receiving 22/20 points each week.
Course outcomes in which I am still struggling with are just being able to comprehend a lot of the smaller details and translate this information into my quizzes. I have now started highlighting certain parts of my texts though and often times will review it during the week to get a greater knowledge of it. I hope by doing this that I will improve my overall quizzes score.
