ESSAY 1

Thesis- explaining Julie Beck‘s point of view and how I agree with Beck 

– believes how you should have a support system

– explaining how she says that selective exposure is important

– How Beck views that people could be wrong on the way they think

– how she refers to honesty

-how she decides the way people learn to come to agree is trying to prove a point with others.

Claim 1 – In my point of view, people should be united together

    Claim 3 – When they’re hanging out with their own race they feel more comfort to say things.-They feel like they are more confident and  trustworthy with their individuals

Claim 4 – explaining how everybody should be united with each other no matter what race you are ( how beck explains the the republicans and democrats )

Thesis: I agree with Julie Beck, especially the claim that people only want to learn information that supports their views rather than challenging them. I have seen this effect when people talk about whether there should be free healthcare is the US. 

1. Free healthcare would allow people more freedom when deciding whether they should seek medical attention.
