Air pollution refers to the alteration of the quality of air.
Alteration of air quality is characterized by physical, biological, and chemical pollutants
In other words, the presence of an undesirable impurity in the air is called air pollution
This presentation discusses possible solutions to air pollution in Bakewell
Each solution will be subjected to cost/benefit analysis before choosing the most suitable

Use of public transport instead of private transport, its associated costs, and benefits
Use of green energy instead of fossils fuels, its associated costs, and benefits

Use of public transport
People are advised to use public means of transport as an alternative to private means
Public means of transport reduce the number of vehicles on the road which reduces emissions
Public transport is also associated with carpooling
Carpooling is advisable if you and your friends come from the same locality and you go work in the same locality (Baiardi, 2020)

Public transport reduces congestion and emission
Public transport reduces the wear and tear of vehicles
There are health benefits associated with walking to the and from the bus stop
Public transport does not provide personal space and privacy
Public transport causes delays due to mechanical failures

Increasing consumption reduces the use of fossil fuels that cause emission to the air
Clean energy contributes 13.5% of the total energy supple yet it is cheaply available

Cost and benefits of clean energy
The generation of clean energy creates jobs hence simulating the economy
Clean energy promotes energy independence
Economic independence is achieved because people can domestically meet their energy requirements (Baiardi, 2020)
Green energy is costly due to stable prices
Stables prices require a significant upfront investment that cannot be afforded by everyone

Better solution
The use of public transport is a better solution
The benefits outweigh the costs
Controlling public transport will have a greater impact on reducing air pollution
It has a greater impact because vehicles are one of the major emitters of air pollutants
