Imagine, you are working for IBM and have been selected for a Service Corp project which will take you and some of your fellow workers around the world to work with local community leaders. After listening to local concerns, you will work with a team of people from IBM, the country and/or state, and the community to solve the issues. Your team may have language and cultural barriers to work out.  But what about personality issues?  Could it be that based on the evidence for the Five-Factor Model different personality traits might help or hinder the success of the project?

Read through Chapter 6 on personality traits and after listening to the video by Dr. Brian Little (below), start to think about what some of the challenges you might have.  

1.  Step one, what are the traits associated with the Five-Factor Model
?  Break them down based on the dimensions each can represent

2.  Step two, identify the desired traits (3+) for the people you would want to have on this project.  Provide Example and Support each of those traits.

3. After reviewing Dr. Little’s video, based on his descriptions how would you say that extroverts and introverts differ?  Would you want one or the other or both on this project and why?

4. Dr. Little speaks about how we communicate differently.  He identifies 4 based on how we use our senses, pick two and explain them. 

5. Finally, Dr. Little talks about “free traits”. Please explain free traits and how this might apply for you if you were chosen for this great opportunity

respond to the questions while maintaining a
paragraph form.  Keep in mind, the location you will assist will have an opportunity to have running water, or clean water.
