Try and come up with a solution through empathy and proper listening of their feeling to come to a common ground. Eventually, know when to take the issue to the supervisor. Violent and racial discrimination issues are the ones taken to the next level of management (Murachver et al, 2017).
When answering the question about you, it gives an opportunity to combine your achievement and objectives about the job being applied for. Talk about your current role, a recent professional achievement and its scope. This can make the interviewer relate the person with the requirements of the organization.

However, some matters dealing with violence, sexual harassment and patient harm should be reported to the supervisor or escalated. First step, the nurse should face the colleague or the patient and talk calmly to iron out issues before going out for reporting (Shen, & Zhang, 2017). There should be proper listening and understanding of each other before a solution is reached. Then, make a conclusion that is favorable to each individual.
The questions about yourself are targeted to make the interviewer know about yourself, self- awareness, your current roles, experiences and achievements. The simplest way to answer this question is to talk briefly about your current duties, roles and responsibilities, the scope and achievement you have made in our current position. What is your biggest Weakness?
My biggest weakness is that I am a perfectionist, I tend to make sure everything I do is done the right way. I always double or even triple check my work. By being a perfectionist, it causes me to have time management problems, for I am always ensuring that my work is done correctly and that all my tasks are completed.
Describe how you resolved conflict with a co-worker or patient?
Communication is the key to resolving any conflicts. The way I remember resolving any conflicts with my co-workers is by not jumping into conclusion, and usually trying my best to remain level-headed. It is crucial to remain calm and listen carefully. I am not the kind of person who is drawn to conflict, I usually try my best to deter any issues before it even escalates. As professionals we should find different ways to deal with various kinds of altercation that might be derived. According to Apodaca (2019), it is natural to have disagreements, since we are all different, but working through a common resolution will enhance a better environment within the workplace.
Tell me about yourself?
After obtaining my bachelor’s degree from University of Miami, I worked as a teacher at North Miami Senior High School for adult education, and Medlife. Next, I begin my professional career as a Registered Nurse working at University Plaza Nursing home for a little over one year, then working at North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) for the past 7years. I became a charge nurse on a 30 bed Telemetry Unit, during the end of my first year working at North Shore Medical Center. Throughout the years while working at NSMC I participated in different training programs, that aimed at enhancing patient care and satisfaction, which I find truly rewarding. Working as a nurse has definitely had a positive impact in my life. I have learned so much about myself working as a nurse. I have learned to be compassionate, humble, and empathetic. I genuinely think that the clinical and non-clinical skills that I have gained from working as a nurse, will help me to further my career.
