People invest a great deal of time, effort and resources for sports and leisure activities. Explore one sport or leisure time activity and develop your own ideas on this topic. What  attracts you to participate in this activity? This paper is an informative research paper. Persuade or convince the reader that this particular activity to a worthwhile and valuable use of time and effort. Provide the reader with information about a sport or leisure time activity of which you are personally familiar. Describe yourself participating in this activity. Discuss the benefits to a participant in this activity. How does this activity fulfill some Universal Human Value (UHV) for you? Choose a topic of worthwhile personal interest, and possibly even passion.

You may wish to take a conservative or a liberal stance on a topic. Be sure that the essay is thesis driven. The essay should be developed according to the methods discussed in  class and in the textbook. The paper should be 4 – 6 pages (1500 – 2000 words). The paper is worth 100 points. You will be responsible for all phases of the writing process. Research is required (3 to 4 sources cited; websites/magazine/newspaper articles are OK).

Write a thesis driven analysis of the topic. The thesis, preferably a divided thesis, should  make a strong statement or claim about the activity. Write a multi-paragraph essay  analyzing the sport or leisure activity that you have chosen. The essay should be expository, with some description and narration where appropriate.
