What does the saying “correlation does not imply causation” mean?	The phrase “correlation does not imply causation” means that there is no relationship between variables based on association or correlation. In other words, variables can have a correlation but they can also have nothing to do with each other. An example would be the homeless population and crime rate. Both might be high in an area, so they are correlated, but that doesn’t mean they affect each other.
