The chemical messengers in the body which operate in tissues,
body organs, and in the bloodstream are what we call hormones.
Examples of these hormones include hormones derived from amino
acids, lipid-derived hormones, and peptide-derived hormones.
Lipid-derived hormones are examples include testosterone. Amino
acid-derived hormones are small molecules in structure and an
example is an adrenal hormone. And the peptide-derived hormones
are protein in nature and as an example, we have oxytocin (Molnar
& Gair, 2019).

Research has shown that most people who misuse steroids are
usually aggressive and easily irritated. These people become
verbally aggressive and they tend to raise fights and violence
against others (Juergens, 2017). The changes are caused by what
experts call secondary hormonal changes.

Examples of specific hormones include lipid hormones: just like
cholesterol, lipid hormones are similar in structure. The first
primary class of lipids in the human body are the steroids
hormones. Such hormones include estrogen which is known as the
female sex hormone and androgen which is the male sex hormone.
These hormones are produced from both the female and male
sexual organs. Steroid hormones are known to be insoluble in water
and are normally moved around by the transport protein in the
bloodstream.
Amino acid-derived hormones; most amino acid-derived hormones
are chemically derived and their names end with the words ‘ine’ like
for example epinephrine. This hormone is synthesized from the
medulla of thyroxin together with the adrenal glands.

Finally, we have peptide-derived hormones: these are also known to
be protein hormones. The hormones here include examples like
oxytocin hormone which is produced and released by the brain.

Nerves are the channels used to carry messages from and towards
our sensory organs together with the spinal cord and the brain. They
also carry messages to and from the central nervous system. Some
muscles carry messages from the central nervous system to the
muscles and other organs of the body while other nerves just do the
transmission and processing of signals in the central nervous
system. Certain electric signals take place within the nerve cells and
these signals are what we refer to as never conduction. This electric
effect is caused by the biological systems of the body. The nerves
are made up of some cells that we refer to as neurons, these cells
have what we call tendrils that connect them with other cells.
Usually, a signal arrives at the cell body of the nerve across the
dendrites which stimulate the neurons that generate its signal which
is sent to other nerve cells.

The commonly known reproduction hormones are testosterone and
estrogens which are the male and female sex hormones
respectively. Testosterone stimulates the production of the male
sperm while estrogen stimulates the formation of the female
ovaries. These sex hormones are responsible for making a person
develop sexually or rather reach puberty for teenagers. Other
hormones found during the reproductive process have luteinizing
hormone which is responsible for stimulating the release of the
female egg and progesterone and estrogen which are responsible for
maintaining the lining of the uterus (Molnar, 2019).
