Topic proposal :Does drone Warfare do more harm than good?
Unmanned aerial vehicle which are commonly known as drone is currently the center of focus in the united States counter terror operations. In the contemporary world, the frequency of drone attacks has drastically increased. The increased rate on the other hand increased the violence frequency and the states of instability across the world. This has resulted to the number of consequences which need to be addressed. The introduction of drone has helped the U.S military but also it has in the wrong side during warfare. For example, the introductions of the drones has provoked attacks from the Pakistanis, forcing the US military to formulate better and stronger policies to contain the situation.
Although the drones seem to be efficient in terms of task they are designed to execute, a number of issue have emerged pertaining to the death of civilians involved in the wars. It is evidence that most drones have emerged to be victims towards the destructions infrastructures and death of the innocent civilians. This is an implications that is results to more harm than it does good towards the United States innocent civilians, making an topic controversial and area to be researched on. Utilization of drone can be seen as poor strategy of hunting the high level of terrorists, which in turns results to emergence of unwanted technological arms that negatively impact the host country.
The rationale behind researching this topic is to narrow down the emerging controversies pertaining to the morality of foreign civilians. The major reason for the heavy utilization of drones in the war is to minimize the number of casualties involved in a given war. However, this cannot be justified since the saving of the lives involves taking other lives. This results to the killing of innocent people whom are supposed to be protected. An example is the death of sic military officers in Afghanistan when the drone pilot directed a missile towards the attack target. This is one of the major reasons while research on predator drones need to be looked at even deeper, to analyze ways through which such lives can be saved .
Second reason for researching on the topic is the risks which the drones technology is posing on the other countries. Currently, more than 40 countries are researching on a technology that will aid the development of drones or fire arms utilizing the similar technology. This implies that in few years, the manner in which wars will be conducted will be far different, and might results to the severe effects to the countries which are not fully developed with this technology. The fact that drones can be used in performing any type of destruction is a clear indication that well attacked can suffer from economic problems due to the mass destruction of the infrastructure in a given country. In the coming years, man combat will be a long gone thing, disadvantaging the countries which will be making the use of traditional methods of wars.
Therefore, my research will be about the reason as why the Americans need to consider the utilization of drones in war fare. This is because of the cases which have been recorded of losing the lives of the civilians. leaving a dirty taste in the mouths of individual \s who have seen how this has been taking away the lives of civilians. The paper will also try formulating various policies which will be used in consuming that drones are used in the rights and required manner so as to record the least number of civilians death.
