The college experience can be seen in a positive or negative aspect, depending solely on what has been taught throughout their childhood. There has been a decline in college students for several years now, but it is at an all time high. Students have so many reasons why they decide not to go to college and some of those reasons are as follows: student loan debt, financial aid process, enrollment application, spikes in tuition, living arrangements, transportation issues, ACT scores, acceptance into college, pressures from friends and family. Though each student has their own individual reasons why they are not attending college, each of their reasons are enough to spike a huge decline in college students.

Why is it a Decline in College Students?

Students have so many different reasons why they are declining to go to college. The pressures from family and friends, student loan debt, the application process, the purchases of books, the financial aid application; which determines whether a student may be able to afford college without having to take out so many student loans. College is also not meant for every person and some kids just don’t have a desire to go to college. Students that usually decides to go to college is either because it’s something that they desire to do, or it is something that has been instilled in them since they were kids from their family. Whatever the sole reason for the decline in college students, it’s a decision that must be made by each individual person.
