So, I thought I would recommend the film “Split” to you all to get a sense of DID. The film is a “Hollywood version” of DID, of course, but the scenes between the patient and the therapist are pretty good and the way the patient’s who demeanor changes with each personality is well played.

Schizophrenia is a disorder in which many people think that the person that has a disability has many different personalities. People also think that the Personalities are on a positive and negative level, meaning that a person with schizophrenia can be nice at one moment and turn very violent the next. personalities are on a positive and negative level, meaning that a person with schizophrenia can be nice at one moment in time very violent the next. “Schizophrenia is a severe mental illness involving chronic (or recurrent) psychosis, characterized mainly by hearing or seeing things that aren’t real (hallucinations) and thinking or believing things with no basis in reality (delusions)” (Morlin, 2017). They are Both serious mental disorders but the more common mental disorder that people tend to relate dissociative identity disorder with is personality disorder. They also share A lot of the key symptoms such as feeling alone and also being a bit delusional. The thing about both of these mental disorders is that they are both disorders that cannot be cured and in many cases are rare compared to the other mental disorders.
