Many organizations do not frequently evaluate their jobs in terms of analyzing the function and the value of what they produce, and therefore many organizations do not update their job descriptions on a regular basis.

For this milestone, you will examine the tools associated with job analysis and establishing an effective job description.

Specifically, you will choose ​ONE​ of the following three options:

1. Evaluate the position description for a job you currently have or have held in the past.

2. If you cannot obtain a copy of the PD for a job you currently have or have held in the past, write one based on your experience working in that position. See the Job Description Template document (available in Blackboard), which is available as a tool to help you write an original job description, though using this template is not required. Also see the Example Job Description document (available in Blackboard) for an example of a good job description.

3. If you have never had a job, do one of the following:

a. Write a position description for a role you have experience with, such as a volunteer or participant in some kind of organization such as a sports team, a student, a group or club leader, etc. Describe the roles and responsibilities that were expected of you in that position to write a “position description,” incorporating the critical elements you’ve learned about in this module

14. Paperwork handling liaison between shop and office.

15. Handle and track warranty claims
