Marketing Challenge and Strategy
Virgin Atlantic feared that the E.U./U.S. Open Skies Agreement, introduced in March 2008 (Stewart, 2007), would have a negative impact for the future of its market share. Virgin Atlantic may lose part of its customers, since 40% of Virgin Atlantic’s business class-travel now is between the U.S. and Europe (Foresight, 2008).
