The target area chose is the children age group of the customers buying in Walmart. The chosen target is viable because it can be controlled to have products sold to all children age groups. There is very little margin for error as Walmart has a high density of customers coming with their kids.

That is because these places don’t have any age restrictions and people mostly come to shop with their families, that is why children or their families can spot the store easily. Moreover, it would be easy for customers to trust a store in a mall. Lastly the increase of people on weekends can be beneficial for the consumption of products.

The layout of the store should include things that are attracted towards the children, with childish furniture, colored walls and lighting. It’s a good idea because children will be attracted to a place that is different than other professional stores. The two things I would change in the layout would be that there should be a play area for children in the store so that they are forced to enter it. I would also like to change the uniform of the employees to character costumes.

I like the pictures on the merchandise consisting of cartoon characters, the font of the letters on them, and the funny content written in them. I’d like to change the colors to darker, as bright colours are more attracted towards pre schoolers. I would also want to give away a gift for children who buy any expensive merchandise.
